Bringing new cell and gene therapies to life.

First-time inventors of biomedical technology face huge obstacles bringing their therapies to market.

Many simply lack the experience to start a company, court investors, gain regulatory experience, and continue to focus on the science.

Vida Biomedical’s mission is to help biomedical innovators bring their discoveries from the laboratory to the clinic.

You focus on the science. We take care of everything else.

Vida provides a full-range of biomedical and commercial capabilities to facilitate cell or gene therapy development through Phase I clinical trials.

Partnering with a university-affiliated global leader in HLA and stem cell research, Vida provides inventors:

  • Complete laboratory support

  • Day-to-day corporate operations management

  • Funding

  • Practical guidance for securing patents, licensing, and FDA approval

We bridge “The Valley of Death” in medical therapy development.

During the Pre-Clinical and Phase I periods, inventors have few options for fundraising and gaining critically needed regulatory expertise.

The risks and pitfalls that inventors face during this “Valley of Death” include:

  • Significant financial risks and challenges for those who self-finance

  • High equity dilution due to unfavorable investment terms

  • Lack of knowledge about the regulatory environment

  • Tremendous time demands that detract from professional and entrepreneurial growth

Vida enables inventors to realize the full potential of their discoveries.

Unlike a typical VC, Vida allows inventors to retain more of their equity and control over the decision-making process.

At the same time, Vida manages the day-to-day needs of the company, freeing inventors to do what they do best: create.

For each inventor partner therapy, Vida establishes a separate company, startup investment, and provides:

  • A proven, cost-efficient path for commercialization

  • Regulatory support services

  • Licensing fees for the IP or stem cell therapy

  • A contract for IND submission and clinical trials

  • Increased equity vs. traditional VCs
